Rory did it again, back to back wins in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. His two shot win kept him in first place in the standings. He was followed very closely all day Sunday by Phil Mickelson who was in contention until he left a shot just short and left of the green on the par 3 16th, he had to settle for par on that hole and from there he settled for 2nd and stayed in the top 5 in the FedEx Cup standings. For those who do not know the people in the top five have the chance to win the cup at the Tour Championship, which will be held next week.  Anyone can win the tour championship, but the top finisher in the tournament, of the top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings, but of those only those in the top 5 will have a chance to win the cup.
Last year was an exception when Bill Haas came back from 25th place to win it, but to do that you have to win the tournament by double digits, and with this field that will not happen.  This year’s Tour Championship will be one of the best ever, and the $1.44 million prize for first is not a bad thing, plus if it’s one of the top five in the standings they will get the $10 milling prize for winning the FedEx Cup.  In other news the Belle Fourche boys will be traveling to Meadowbrook Golf club twice for a duel against Stevens, and the STM invite, we will also go to Spearfish Canyon Country Club for the Spearfish Invite.

  7. I didn't know that how you did in one tournament could affect others, except in things like overall standings for eligibility.

I look forward to hearing how the BF team did!
